Heroes of the Storm celebrates its 10th anniversary with an exciting new patch! This version introduces fresh content, balance updates, bug fixes, and special treats for players. Let’s break it all down so you can stay ahead in the Nexus.
General Updates
- All Heroes Free: From now until June 15th, every hero is unlocked for all players. Get ready to experiment with new characters and strategies!
- 10th Anniversary Rewards:
- Two exclusive new portraits are now available for all players.
- Updated home screen visuals and startup screen music for nostalgia-filled vibes.
- Streamlined Gem System:
- Players can now purchase gems directly via the Battle.net shop.
- Gem quantities and prices have been standardized across all regions for consistency.
New Skin
Introducing Gear Head Thrall! This edgy new skin is now available in the Shop. Thrall enthusiasts, don’t miss the chance to snag this powerhouse look!
Hero Changes
Brightwing
- Arcane Flare [Q]:
- Minimum cast range removed.
- No longer bypasses flight time when cast within Brightwing’s space (stay alert for these adjusted timings!).
E.T.C.
- Power of the Horde:
- Cast animations and visuals are now fixed. Expect a smoother experience.
- Ride the Lightning:
- E.T.C. faces the cast direction correctly now. Cast animations have been restored for clarity.
Gazlowe
- Grav-O-Bomb 3000:
- Minimum cast range removed.
- The ability no longer bypasses flight time when cast close to Gazlowe.
Bug Fix Highlights
The patch addresses numerous bugs for other heroes, such as Hanzo, Murky, and Orphea. Here are a few standouts:
- Murky’s Pufferfish [W] now respects cast distances when used in close range.
- Orphea’s dashing issue with Shadow Waltz [Q] has been reverted to work as intended after hitting an enemy Hero.
